About the event
Originally meant to be held on International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, our Paint and Sip event will now be held on World Refugee Day. This event is a fundraiser for the Romero Centre. For our event, we invite you to celebrate each other’s differences and similarities. We will foster inclusivity and celebrate the valuable contributions that person from every culture can make to society.
Our Artist:
Leading our session is Angi—a Venezolanean from Brisbane’s Romero Centre. Angi comes from an asylum seeker background, and she embraces inclusivity in her artworks. “The question echoing in my head,” Angi writes is “What does really make us human?”
